Patriotic Citizen

Patriotic Citizen? The combination of words enable a sense of collective identity unlike any other form of social manipulation, capable of rallying the masses towards conformity of action and uniformity of belief. Historically the political elite have used patriotic rhetoric as a device to forge an unthinking mass of humanity which no longer identifies as sovereign individuals but rather an antagonistic mob, ready for violent action and to partake in the ultimate sacrifice. They do this willingly because a speaker, who is the leader has molded their soft minds.

When you call yourself an Indian or a Muslim or a Christian or a European, or anything else, you are being violent. Do you see why it is violent? Because you are separating yourself from the rest of mankind. When you separate yourself by belief, by nationality, by tradition, it breeds violence. So a man who is seeking to understand violence does not belong to any country, to any religion, to any political party or partial system; he is concerned with the total understanding of mankind.

What a profound statement to believe that mankind and human society could potentially exist on an entirely alien sphere of influence. The prevalent herd mentality and groupist dynamic which is evident in politics to entertainment often leads to individual conformity reinforcement. This is often externalized by mass symbols and dialog which openly condones this hive social structure. The divisions in class, race, religion, ethnicities all serve to expedite separation of the human being from the totality of understanding our existence from a common universal base or fundamental primordial level.

This common sense acceptance has been drastically distorted over the ages to create our modern day hierarchal society were humans are defined along specific categories centered around often superficial quantifiers such as skin color, status, education and wealth acquisition. Thus creating a system that perpetuates fear, disparity and eventual violence.
